Such a beautiful location with kind and hospitable hosts! My boyfriend chose to propose to me here and it could not have been a more peaceful and serene setting. My stay at kakurinbo will be a precious memory for years to come!
This ryokan is beautiful and set in a gorgeous area of kakurinbo. It was a trek to get to on foot but it is on Mt. Minobu. A beautiful walk during the day and so much to see. The staff was so helpful with everything and the kaiseki meal is a must experience.
I just have to say that this place, though remote, is one of the best places I have stayed. It offers a beautiful scenery. The staff is very polite and attentive. The stay allowed us to experience Japanese culture at its finest.
The whole experience was beautiful and very unique. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is authentic and delicious, and exploring the mountains and small town around the area was a delight. Our room was wonderful and very comfortable and the Buddhist chanting and prayers around the grounds was enchanting!
This is our second time staying at Kakurinbo and we absolutely love it! The staff are always kind and helpful. The food is amazing. The room is comfortable and the surrounding are breathtaking. We hope to go back!
Great peaceful authentically Japan stay in an old temple. I highly recommend. The staff are super courteous, great with English, and the meals were amazing! Vegetarian yet very filling, flavorful, and delicious.
The property is a beautiful temple ryokan with many old features still present. We did appreciate the welcome and learning about the hotel and the garden. The food was delicious and it was very relaxed having dinner in the restaurant area with separate eating areas. Wearing the wedding kimono's was a great and special experience.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were beautifully served and delicious. The garden was picture perfect. The location was peaceful and quiet, in a lovely small town.
Great temple lodge. Due to shared bath and toilet, it is not as comfortable as hotel but it is an opportunity for enthusiastic traveler to get intimated with the old Japanese culture and the staff try their best to make you comfortable as much as possible. Nice and delicious Kaiseki (Japanese meal set). Staff are kind and very friendly.
