Essenhaus was a great spot to return to after a day of shopping in Goshen to rest up for a day if shopping in Nappanee. It was quiet, had nice shops, a modern roomy bathroom and was very comfortable. The maple frosted filled pastry on the breakfast bar was superb!

I absolutely love staying at Essenhaus. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very polite. I feel safe there being a single woman traveling alone. They had nice choices for breakfast. I love the Essenhaus. I was very excited to eat at Das Dutchman and went for an early dinner 3pm. I desided to have the menu dinner. I stood waiting to be seated about 10min. There were maybe 6 people eating, very slow. I was finally seated. I had a very polite young man as a waiter. I had 2 wheat rolls that were very dry. I ordered Chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes w/green beans. The green beans had no flavor and woody pieces. The noodles and chicken tasted old and had no flavor. The mashed potatoes were good. I had banana cream pie to go. The pie was old and had a wet bottom crust. I was so dissapointed. Ive had all these foods before and i know how they should taste. I was so tired from my trip i just left. I didnt see how saying anything would have helped. I wont eat there ever again.
Chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes with green beans and rolls. Looks good right but it's not. Zero flavor and tasted old! so disappointed 35.00,ugh..

The room was not as nice as the one we had last time, that said it was far and away the nicest hotel room we have stayed in, with that exception. The view was amazing, the grounds were beautiful, the staff was very helpful and went above the normal expectations.

What a wonderful stay at The Essenhaus Inn. The room was spacious and clean. The hot breakfast was better than most free breakfasts. The hostess was very friendly. It was located close to the Blue Gate Theater for our event. I would highly recommend the Essenhaus Inn.

Our first time here and will be back! Love the priority seating at the restaurant, comfy beds, great pool. Hot tub was definitely on the cool side but very clean.
