Pool was beautiful and warm. Always had water and sunscreen available. I would say I wish someone said there was construction happening since one day we had dust around the pool while swimming. It was clean though and close to everything. Upgraded our rooms since I always book through Expedia so added bonus 💕

Pros: Very good location on collins ave. Easy access to everything, shopping, restaurants, etc. Beautiful pool and back access to the beach. Great amenities on the beach although it can get pricey for food and drink service on the beach. Cons: 1 elevator working only, waited on average 20 mins each day. Big pain. No extended/late checkout option for us even when they took an additional 2 hours to provide our room on the day we checked in. Bathrooms are small, if you miss your daily housekeeping window, they dont come back that day. No mention of the 45 dollar per day resort fee on booking through expedia so make sure you add thst on your budget. Would i stay here again? Prob but they need to tidy up a couple of things first.

The hotel was dated. The bathroom is too small. The staff was exceptional. I felt out of place there. The beach access was wonderful. I didn't like having to pay for an umbrella but the gentleman was nice. Antonio was very nice and helpful.

This was our second time staying at National because we love the location. The pool and beach access are amazing. You are also right on Collins Ave which makes shopping very easily available. Our only issue is that one of the two elevators seems to always be broken and our room “upgrade” was no upgrade at all. In our opinion the room was worse than the one we had last year that wasn’t an upgrade.

What an amazing weekend. If you are looking to be pampered and relax this is the perfect couple getaway. the pool service was amazing! thank you Eric for such amazing service. At the beach we had complimentary chairs and Alijah was super helpful. The staff is the best part of this hotel. Another great point is that is located walkable distance for any restaurant and shopping stores. We had a great weekend and will definitely will be back. the décor is super cute and vintage! love it

I have stayed 4 times at the National. Three times without issue, my last stay will likely be my last. I had a bad experience on my last day with housekeeping (nothing serious) and upon checkout asked if I could speak with a manager and have a note left for housekeeping, I was met with discontent and the on duty manager walked away. Basically, they projected tough luck pay me attitude. I am saddened since I stay for business a lot. I am a decent client who pays for a suite, eats at the restaurant more than once per stay (stays vary from 3-5 days usually), has lunch on site, large tabs at the bar (both pool and interior) and uses the the laundry service provided out from hotel. Sadly, I feel the front desk just do not care about my business. I tried leaving a similar message via their website and received a "HTTP status 400 error - The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect." The hotel front desk are just bad. Sad, since I like the hotel, the restaurant staff and menu selections, the business center is great, and the patio/pool facilities are well kept and clean.
