Needs a major update …..apparently has just been taken over by new management and a much needed overhaul has just started. The location is awesome - literally around the corner from 5 or 6 good restaurants and a short walk to South Beach.

Alot of reviews say they have bed bugs so we called 5 times to ask if they got rid of the problem with hotels.com on the line w me and they never answered. Unable to speak to them I cancelled with in 5 minutes they still charged me full price but wells fargo is helping with refund.

The property is older. The room we stayed in had noticeable water damage, the floor was warped and we felt like we were going to fall through. It smelled of mold, and we did not sleep under the covers. Actually we stayed for 1 night and made sure to stay out all night because the sheets and comforter looked very questionable. Staff seem friendly but would not recommend this establishment until they revamp.

Upon arriving. The clerk greeted me but when the conversation got deep, she needed her phone to translate English. Next red flag everyone was in the lobby charging their phones. I found out why. The staircase had a lose board & i hurt my toe, but they fixed that so quick. Next red flag rude security notified me I only booked 2 ppl & I had to pay double for the 3person. No problem. We left to go shop, came back to find out outlets don’t work, nor the lights. We were located in a basement. Toilet over flooded from just flushing it, literally. And back up in the room water everywhere . Guy tired for a hour or so and this at 10pm at night. We never stayed we ended up at the Catalina. I took pictures & videos. I want my money back.
