Pretty basic. No amenities. No frills. No restaurant etc. Best points are that its walkable and centrally located. Rained, and water dripped from the light fixtures. Had to pay in cash, never got change from receptionist. When I checked out, there was ZERO staff present. Door lock came off in my hand every time I pulled on it. Water was rusty.
They only accept cash when you show up yet have credit card machines for the bar. It was a painful check-in. This is an old minimally maintained large house converted into a bnb type hotel. We thought it was a real hotel when we booked. Staff was very helpful and great location on the beach, Prime location. For the amount of money they make. You would expect some of it would go to upkeep. the door handles are falling off, sink drain leaks onto the counter, everything is corroded. Seems like a run it into the ground property. Lots of bugs, would wake up with ants in the bed daily. Lound noises early in the morning around the pool area. Not sure what it was. Sounded like a large electric pump at 7am. I would not return under the current conditions.
Location is perfect. Right at the beach. Staff is very friendly. Walking distance to everything. Great experience.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We came to see the room, but didn't end up staying here. The staff was extremely nice, but the room wasn't quite what we were looking for and didn't look as advertised. The water at Progresso was also very murky during the time, so the accommodations didn't feel worth it without beautiful water. The beach chair set up was nice.
place was awful .. no one to address your need they ober booked and only has a security person that had no idea of guest .. he told me they where sold out ....
We rented two rooms, one was fine, no frills but generally ok. My friends was not great, not that clean, hair on the floor etc, won't go into details but let's just say it needs updating.
Very nice stay, friendly host. A bit difficult to find the location, as the entrance is actually from the beach next to a beach club. The pool is out of a sunshine most of the time, more reasonable to sunbath/swim by the sea when possible. Loud music from the club until about 7 pm, annoying but we were prepared by previous reviews.
Hard to find the entrance, very noisy, had to walk through the beach club to get to the door. No toilet seats and shower was very dirty and broken, it worked but water went everywhere, soaking the entire bathroom
We loved the position of the ONE oceanfront room they have. great view and location. Next to a beach club. Communal kitchen offered plentiful water and access to a big fridge and free ice
Service was odd, as this is owned by a neighbouring restaurant. check in was confused as I had requested the ocean front room and we we assigned another on in the back. they did relent and give us the ocean front room after much wrangling. The cleaning lady spent all day, every day on her phone in the hammock in the Main area, where I would have liked to have sat...she didn't sweep up water or sand in main areas after it got dirty. sink faucet was clogged with calcium buildup, and I fixed it. but did seem to indicate not much conscientious upkeep of rooms.
for approx $120 per night not really worth it
Careful when staying at this place because it is VERY dirty. They don’t even know about reservations. We’ve left a day early ( had a 2 day stay) and we’ve asked them for a refund but no answer. I

Llegamos y no teniamos reservacion.

FYI: They do NOT accept cards as a form of payment. Only cash or bank transfers. This seemed odd. The lady at the “reception” (which was the kitchen counter) had no clue of my reservation, had no interest in figuring it out, and demanded cash or bank transfer as form of payment. We ended up having to leave because of this, as we did not carry this much cash. The receptionist refused to help us figure out a way to stay.
