Large, beautiful grounds with spacious rooms. At check-in we were told not to flush toilet paper down the toilet and to put it in the trash cans. Every day from 6-7pm they spray the Hacienda with bug spray so they advise you stay in your room. The smell seeps inside so if that bothers you, don't stay in your room. Our cousin got married at the Hacienda so we stayed there, and it was completely booked. They frequently ran out of beer, fruit, and items on the menu and I think it was because they are not used to accommodating so many people. It takes 15 mins for a cab to arrive, and it's a 30 minute drive into town. The area outside the Hacienda seems very poor. There is only one restaurant, but everything we tried was delicious. I would highly recommend the restaurant. The staff is nice but timid and very soft spoken. The pool by the restaurant has good shade and you can order drinks and food there too. The spa looked amazing but we didn't try it. We all got tons of bug bites even with bug spray. There was a small lizard in one of the drawers in our room. There is only a door to the toilet. The shower and bathroom is open to the rest of the room so there's no privacy there. Live music would be a nice touch. Overall, the Hacienda is very beautiful and we enjoyed our stay because the room was so charming and the AC was very powerful, the Hacienda was well maintained, the food was delicious and the pool was a great location for us all to hang out and relax.
