I genuinely wish I could give this place a better review as it is clearly a small, family-owned and run motel, and the room was fine, but the service was horrible and unprofessional. First, it is clear they have invested exactly zero time understanding how to accommodate people with disabilities in compliance with federal law, or training their staff to do so. I arrived with my service animal and was met with questions about my dog as a pet or ESA. I told Lindsay, who checked me in, that my dog is not a pet but a service animal. She told me it was hotel policy that I couldn’t stay in a non-pet room with my service animal (which conflicts with disability law). When I suggested they spend time learning the ADA and how to better accommodate people with disabilities, Lindsay condescendingly told me I just must be having a bad day. She was holding back laughter throughout the whole encounter.
Second, their boy, old enough to understand better, was peeking through the window into my room several times, even after I closed the curtains.
I have never been met with such unprofessional, dismissive, patronizing, and disrespectful service.
