The hotel is a fading former grand hotel that is still fading away.
The staff are friendly, warm and welcoming.
However this is definitely not a 3 star hotel. It's generally 1 star. No facilities in the room, no coffee/tea making or kettle, no fridge, no iron. Essentially just a bed, drawer and closet. Furthermore, the room was very small.
My friend asked for red wine in the bar.... no wine available.
However the room had a fabulous view of the rugged Portuguese landscape area.
Breakfast was very very basic and didn't change for the 3 days we stayed at the hotel.
