The location, way in the mountains, was gorgeous; the innkeepers were hospitable and such nice people. We enjoyed our two-night stay veery much. Two points to make: 1) while the hotel says it’s a B&B, one doesn’t get one unless you request it in advance. The website should make that clear. 2) the place is very difficult to find since there is no sign on Route 299 to lead guests to Monomori Inn on a side road, with the inn being up a little ways. Otherwise, we recommend it highly!
Wonderful stay - hotel run by a very friendly couple. Breakfasts were fantastic. Out of season so some of the local restaurants were closed. Car definitely required as the hotel is quite high (1400m) and local public transport into Chino is not practical. Great base for exploring the Japanese Alps.
A touch of nature run with care and high standards
Wonderful little privately run bed and breakfast in lovely natural surroundings. The bed and breakfast is run with style, quality and homeliness in mind. The interior is decorated to be at one with nature and the local environment. Both the massage chair and the private bath for 2 (which needs to be booked in advance) were a pleasant surprise. It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting and is very homely and down to earth. I will definitely stay here again when next in Japan.
