Staff was great, room was not great. Tv didnt work, staff fixed it fairly quick. Shower head was super low, walls were dusty, lock was broken, toilet seat was broken, phone line cut.

The appearance of the facility was what one would expect in a travel Lodging. We were told our two rooms would be right next to each other, but they were not our room had a strong smell of disinfectant or spray fragrance, which seemed like it was there to cover up something.😩 The breakfast was one of the poorest I have seen in any travel motel that we have lodged in. This was very disappointing as well.

The room was exceptionally clean and fresh. The breakfast was very tasty. The staff was very friendly. Plenty of hot water for showers. The TV offered lots af channels to view. There is a dollar store right across the street to pick up items you may have forgotten. Very close to Munising. I would definitely stay here again! Oh and the bed was very comfortable!

The breakfast area was too small - not enough seating. Our room had double beds - didn’t think any hotels had these anymore. They should upgrade to queen. Also the place needs a remodel.

The hotel is older, but our rooms were clean and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We were in town to visit Pictured Rocks and the hotel was an easy 5 minute drive to the docks for the boat tours.

We found the overall hotel experience (breakfast, pool, room) to be fine. We did struggle with the smell from the air conditioning unit to the point that we talked to the front desk to get help and went to the store to buy air fresheners for the room. They said they place tablets in the AC units to try to help with humidity but it was horrible!

Excellent stay for 3 nights! We were visiting Michigan's UP and stayed at Borders. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was your standard fare and I really liked that they served it until 10 am. They also kept the pool and hot tub open late (until 2 am) with the later evening hours being adults only. The hotel is a little older, but they maintain it well. I did take 1 star off just because they did not have an elevator. We were on second floor and travel with a lot of stuff. My husband broke his wrist the day prior, so getting everything in the room was a pain and took several trips. To be fair, the desk guy did offer to help, but seeing as there was no one else in the office area I felt it would have been wrong to accept. Just be aware and make sure you ask for a first floor room if you have mobility issues. Overall a great stay for the price and we will stay again when in the area.
