Good place to stay. Very comfortable. Only complaint is the allow smoking in the outside hallways next to your rooms. Suggestion: Only allow smoking away from the room. Maybe in the far end of the parking lot. If you are a non-smoking hotel then don’t allow ashtrays just outside customers rooms.

This was a last-minute choice for my family when we decided on a day Trip to Yosemite. We were coming from Hollister and did not want to drive the entire way in one day, so we decided to get a hotel room the night before. As a motel, it was nice, but the environment was concerning. We dealt with the heavy smell of Marijuana, as well as cigarette smoke, and saw employees smoking outside. I do not care myself, but I prefer it to be away from my family. I usually move away if possible, but when the entire environment is consumed, it is difficult to keep my kids away from such things. The staff was VERY kind and courteous. Helpful at the most. The room was also very clean and void of any stains or odor. I would recommend this motel in Mariposa. I would also suggest more information about the town itself. Places to eat, grocery shop, etc. Thank You

Best Western Plus Yosemite Way Station Motel was a nice place to stay in Mariposa while touring Yosemite. Although there were hotels closer to the park Mariposa is a lovely town and the drive to and from the park was really nice. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous. A buffet breakfast was served each morning that included hot and cold items and was a great way to start off a day of sightseeing. The hotel itself is located within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in town. As there are only stairs and no elevator we had requested a ground floor room and they were able to accommodate our request. The only negative: They were upgrading some of the TV's and when we returned to our room the second night the maintenance staff had left the door opened and unlocked and the old TV on the floor in the room. Fortunately nothing was missing but it was disconcerting to return to a wide open room with all our belongings in it. If not for that, I would have given the motel a 4 star rating in all categories.

We were greeted warmly and check in was quick and efficient. Our room was immaculate. We felt safe walking at night. Breakfast area was very clean. Breakfast choices were great. Will definitely consider Best Western again based on this experience.
