So let me start by saying that we have stayed here before., and had a wonderful time. My wife just had her 2nd birthday beating leukemia and this was how she wanted to celebrate.
We traveled from Philly area starting at 4:30 AM and got to Rainbow bend around 3:30 after a nice stop at bass pro for lunch and shopping. when we tried to check in we were told the room we reserved was not the one we were getting. she (Jeanette) stated we reserved thru Expedia, and that was the issue. I told her we also called the lodge to confirm. She was not hospitable at all! She wanted to put us in a room facing the road. I asked if there wass one facing the ocean and her response was if there is it may cost more and we would have to pay for it! this woman should never be allowed to talk to guests. Her response was - she was having a bad day. I told her to get over it and solve the problem, She had a crappy attitude so i got right back at her and she asked if we wanted to cancel our reservation. At that point my wife (the reasonable one) asked to see her manager. The manager (owner) came and got us into a very nice room facing the beach. the beach is very nice with corn hole games and kayaks. the grass in the water is a bit smelly and totally not swimmable. the pool was very nice and always clean. it is a nice place but i don't think at this point we will be back. If you go, call the place and schedule directly with them.
