Overall excellent, though tea/coffee facilities in the room we're not replenished. Appreciated the upgrade to a room with air conditioning!

A night in Mannheim
The price, space, location and friendliness was a high rating. When I dropped off my car rental late at night, I wasn’t able to reach a taxi cab. I texted a family member at the hotel and the clerk called a taxi to pick me up at car rental and drop me off at hotel. That meant a lot! The bathroom could have been cleaner but willing to live with it for price, location, space and friendliness. We got two double beds (one was a couch but was ready for us). We just needed a place for the night, and this location was near the train station. One thing is that the rooms were extremely warm. We resolved that by opening windows which made it a bit noisy as the window faced the street. We were so tired, we were just grateful to have a decent place to stay. There is parking on the street along the hotel.
Comforting bed. Nice shower Big window with a view. Very friendly staff

Family Stay in Mannheim
I was very disappointed in our stay.
Kids on the ground floor literally running everywhere making checking in, out, breakfast, and carrying luggage in very difficult. I believe they are housing refugees which is very kind of them but there needs to be a better way separate a living space for these families and a checking in area for hotel guests. We were skipped in line several times while trying to check in over a broken dart board, checking mail, and whatever demands the kids had at their whim. The children definitely deserve a little grace in their circumstance but it makes things hard for paying customers. Also very hard to explain to my child why she couldn’t run and play tag in the hotel hallways when the other kids were.
When we checked in we were told we could only park for one of the two nights we were staying (What?!? I wasn’t aware we needed to “prebook” parking) and our room we had booked (with ac) was not available. Once I told them this was not acceptable a very helpful worker worked hard to find solutions. Unfortunately once he was off things only went down hill from there. We didn’t receive maid service. I completely understand if this is a COVID policy but we were never told we wouldn’t get it. This meant no coffee replenishment and we never had any soap in the shower. The container was empty and I was hoping the maid would catch it. I informed the gentleman at checkout and he just looked at me with a blank look and rushed me a long.
This hotel was simple, clean and convenient to my needs.

Great value, top service, good location
While the decor and furniture might give you the impression the hotel's a bit dated, rest assured that everything works, the room is spotlessly clean and the towels and linens are top-quality. Staff were courteous, helpful and well presented in crisp uniforms. If you want want trendy colour schemes, mood lighting and enjoy self-service stay elsewhere but personally of highest importance to me as a frequent business traveler are service, quality, low-noise and cleanliness and the Augusta scores top marks for these.
Location is great too: just a short stroll to the water tower/centre, Luisenpark where we had our meeting and a couple of great restaurants opposite as well.
Breakfast is very nice, even though extra, but worth the extra cost. Room was a bit tight but had a balcony. Close to downtown and in nice quiet area in Augusta. A greek and Italian restaurant just across the street. I would recommend that they have 24 hour coffee available, since I am from Canada and appreciate to have a fresh coffee anytime when coming into hotel (even though they have coffee in room). Wanted a early checking, but had to wait over an hour.. No one made me aware the room was then ready, while sitting in lobby waiting. Otherwise a nice german hotel.
