The property is part of the Clayton group and is well up to the expected standard. The room was clean and spacious. A little too warm at night for my taste but maybe not for everybody. The Hotel could review the automatic check in machines. Otherwise 5 stars.

This hotel is obviously older and hasn't been updated in a long time. The beds were on wheels and rolled every time I sat down. The elevators were cosmetically in poor shape. Some areas of my corridor had a musty damp smell. There was no outlet to plug in a hair dryer that was anywhere near a mirror. I will never stay at this hotel again. All of that being said the bar and restaurant were both crowded and while the prices were high as one would expect at an airport hotel, the food was pretty good and the restaurant staff was friendly and engaging.

Love staying here.
We always love staying here when traveling. As usual all the amenities were great. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and a lovely evening. However, our room was very hot during the night, we couldn't find a way to turn down the temperature, so opening the window did help somewhat.

The bed kept miving away from the wall (head side), leaving a big gap when I sat up & leaned back- to read etc - which could havd been very dangerous. Gad a hot drink in my hand. My hysband got out of bed several times to turn the wheels on the bed to prevent this, with litte effect. Bulbs needed replacing in the room & there were only two sets of towels in spite of the room being for 3 adults. We were also called from reception to remind us about checking out in spite of my paying for a late checkout.

I’m sick of this the review it keeps disappearing the meals in the bar we waited 2.30 for burger and chips I had to ask for my sons of 15 mths after 30min and our starters which came 15 mins later we were told when they clear the plates are meal was to follow but 2hrs later and of repeat asking how long it would be I ask to seethe manager she was rude and unhelpful she just wanted to refund the cost and when I asked to see the duty manager she refuse to call him . I should tell you my inclueding myself have work in hotel industry me as a student my parent my mother has worked her way up through the from hotel inflight private hospitals and stays at the Clayton on many of occasions and is discussed at this treatment she is booked in there on Nov 29th and is wondering if she should cancel my father was in the finance both the of my sibling worked in it too. And I can I should mention I now am a consumer and business laser and are wonder what to do about this and as it was sold on your web site I will be looking into this I do hope you reply to this as I would like your take on this and hope you have received the 2 missing reviews and are able to put them together waiting for your reply and my research yours Justine Wilkinson stayed at Clayton Aug 15th

I always feel comfortable at the Clayton Manchester. Friendly, professional & hospitable. Bar staff went out of their way. Dinner at the aviator restaurant was probably one of the best meals that I have ever eaten. Guinness was also good, I did want to knock out another guest that started haggling over his restaurant bill. Staff were too accommodating to manipulating customer. He probably drove a BMW. My only complaint was that that there wasn’t any hot water in the morning. When I returned from breakfast it had been fixed.
