Tiny Apartment in a Lovely Neighborhood
Do not be deceived by the photos; this apartment is very small.
In the bedroom, there’s barely room to pass between the bed and wall to get out the door, let alone space to open a suitcase in there.
The bathroom is 2’ wide. It’s almost impossible to use the sink with the door closed (it’s a pocket door, that gets stuck, so you may not want to close it all the way, anyway). As our 5 days stretched out, the sewer smell emanating from the toilet, sink, and shower became worse and worse. That can happen in a basement apartment.
Mind your head getting down to the basement level… the door is very low.
The kitchen is fine - though for us the fridge didn’t really work. We kept the milk in the freezer, which was minimally colder, but not by much. The management company said they’d replace it.
What else? Very uncomfortable sofa bed - either as a sofa or a bed. The floor wasn’t particularly clean (I swept our first day there, but bare feet got dirty.)
And the codes they gave us to get into the apartment took 3 resets to work. That said, the management company was responsive when we had a concern (like not being able to get into the apartment or a shower that didn’t drain).
All in all, can’t say I’d stay there again - though the Chamberí neighborhood was fabulous (grab dinner as Sisapo if you get a chance. You won’t regret it!).
