A great hotel that is conveniently located. It’s reasonably close to Atocha train station (15 - 20 minute walk) and there’s also a subway stop practically on the doorstep. Very comfortable and clean. The shower was amazing, the towels were plush, the bathroom lighting was great.

Hotel was wondering, very clean, outstanding bathroom, decent size with a beautiful modern contemporary tile pattern. We had room in a corner on the 2nd floor with two windows with small balconies looking over a side cobble street. Really felt that old world Madrid vibe. Because there was a spa, the Hotel has an amazing natural sent very slight nothing overwhelming, we don’t wear perfume or cologne, because of sinus issues and it was very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful, nice and spoke English. The area had many cafes, bakeries and theaters, very close to everything. We will stay here again and again :)

This was our first trip to Madrid. The Catalonia Atocha turned out to be (for us) in a PERFECT location! We were a short walk from all 3 major museums. There were plenty of great little restaurants, tapas bars and a market just minutes from hotel. The Metro was less than a block away. The room was quiet and well-appointed and the staff could not have been nicer. I rarely give reviews, but I felt that I just had to give the Catalonia Atocha a deserving 5-star review.

We enjoyed our stay however, a billing error was made on the hotel’s part which resulted in us double paying for 2 rooms even though the second room reservation had its own method of payment provided. When corrected by the hotel, our credit was short by $43.38Cdn due to exchange, despite being reversed on the same day. Documentation can be provided. This error should not be paid by us.

Heart of Madrid Experience.
Great location. Metro almost in the hotel. Madrid requires making a change or two to get to some of the attractions but after first try, no problems. This was not a touristic neighberhood. So we had to get the hang of basic Spanish but boy did we have fun. The restaurente we ate at practically made us family. Hotel of course had multilingual staff and were very helpful.

Great location and staff... great stay.
We were in a brand new room, and its was fantastic, lovely furnishings, huge and also very quiet, and a super comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. The staff were great and super helpful all over the hotel. The breakfast is FANTASTIC!! and well worth including and there are also, multiple roof terraces for you to enjoy with a drink. Would definatly return.
