Family Vacation of a Lifetime
Amani Mara Camp is just the camp for you if you are looking to relax and disconnect from the busy world and connect the to the world of nature and fascinating, nature wildlife. From other reviews, most people stay at Amani Mara for 2 or 3 nights max. My family and I had one-week in Africa and I struggled to decide if we should stay at the camp the whole week or go elsewhere. We decided to stay at Amani Mara the whole week and we are very glad we did. After just a few days, the feeling of home but in nature starts to rub in. I traveled with my 3 children and there was no dull moment for them. From making bow and arrows in nature, to making cookies in the kitchen with the chef and amazing nature walks just a few steps outside the camp, my children (ages 8, 11 and 12) had the vacation of a lifetime. This is a tall order as my kids have experienced a great deal of travel at this young age to places like Australia, New Zealand, Maldives, Fiji, Bali and the list goes on. For me, as an avid photographer, I was amazed at the great pictures I was able to take thanks to our great guide Jeff. My wife, enjoyed every game ride and the chats over the fireplace every evening while enjoying her favorite wine that was specially made available for her.
Once you first enter the camp, you are pleasantly greeted by the wonderful staff and owners. When you walk down the lodge you will encounter a breathtaking view of the African wilderness of the Masai Mara.
