As I arrived late at night I had to check in at the machine. Unfortunately the booking reference from Hotels.com is not the one recognised by the machine, so I had to walk to the reception of the Ibis hotel to get it. Once that was done, the process for check was straight forward and I was issued with the code (both for the entrance door and the room) on the receipt.
The room was nice enough, like a standard Ibis budget and the bed comfortable. There isn't much space around the bed, but I didn't mind (but you could have opened a large suitcase between the bed and the desk/window. I appreciate the toilet being separated from the rest. The shower (not a tiny one) and wash basin are not in a separate room but part of the bedroom. There is space to hang up a few things on proper coathangers (handy with heavy winter coats).
The place looked clean but I was surprised to find a used plastic cup on my bedside table...
Breakfast is good for the price as it is a buffet with cereals, yoghurts, bread and croissants, jams, honey, cheese, fresh fruit salad, and the usual tea/coffee/ fruit juices. And the person at reception /breakfast was helpful and refilled what had run out quickly. The proximity of the Ibis and Mercure hotels give you options for dinner if you don't want to go by car.
Overall a handy hotel close to the motorway but on a quiet road.
