I will never stay at Microtel again really bad experience the room carpet is dirty and the people In charge don’t know how to clean up. Carpet also smell really bad and I will not recommend no body To stay here

Great hotel!
We checked in around 10:30. The property was well-lit and inside was bright and welcoming. Check in was quick and easy. The room was what was expected. 2 Queen beds. It was clean and cool. Breakfast was very good. Will probably stay again when I come back to Lubbock.

Staff was great, but rooms were not the cleanest. Got a non-smoking room but still smelled and sheets didn’t feel clean. Overall ok, you get what you pay for. Not in the best area of town.

My stay was okay until my last day when I decided to do a late checkout for a $20 fee. 30 minutes before my checkout the manager calls me and discredits the fact an employee told me this was possible and that I had opted in for this extension, ordering me and in fact yelling that I must come down and check out then or else I’ll be charged an extra night. Mind you, in the middle of me getting ready to leave. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and I could tell he felt he could talk to me like that because I look and sound young. Would not recommend this place honestly, they need to learn about customer service again.

The place was relatively clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast options were limited and not great, but it is "free" so can't complain too much. There was a group of men that used the pool to socialize and have beers every night (alcohol and glass bottles at the pool); all with the permission of the Staff.
