I have stayed with Ashmore Inn & Suites many times in Lbk, but this one stay was not enjoyable. The Direct TV was not working. Call the front desk and was told it was due to weather. (There was no bad weather in the area) then got up in the morning to have a cup of coffee and the coffee pot did not work. The smell in the hallway was awful (moldy maybe) On a good note the check in was great and the gentleman checking me in was very respectful. I will try again, just kinda disappointed this time

Driveway and sign are hidden by trees. However this is a gem of a place. The pool is hidden in a courtyard so only guests can see it, love that. It's just a lovely little oasis with privacy.

We are big believers that a good staff can often fix a bad situation, and most of the staff was really good. The 1st night an indifferent hotel clerk pointed us toward a downstairs room that REEKED from water damage, did not change our rooms when we politely asked (said he lived there and for us to just turn on the air conditioner), The next morning desk clerk was GREAT and got us a different room. Property tired with much deferred maintenance, rest of staff very friendly and nice, breakfast good. Weird location, behind building/home?/condos? with same name.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick. The room smelled musty. Could use better lighting. The bathroom floor and tub looked like it could have been cleaned better. Overall, it wasn't worth what I was charged.

Ashmore has always been our go to place when in Lubbock. This time we checked in to our classic suite and the ac was off when we walked in. Ridiculously hot! Turned on both airconditioners and the one in the bedroom would not cool down. Asked to change rooms and were told there were no more suites available so we contiplated what to do. Knew we couldn't sleep like that so I told them we didn't care, just need a working ac. Front desk staff agreed but seemed put out. Moved us to the complete opposite corner and floor but we thought they must know that ac is good. No! Woke up at 2am sweating! It would quit working in the middle of the night and wasn't great when it worked. Since we had already moved I didn't want to be those people that keep complaining so we toughed it out for 2 nights. It sucks tho cuz we'll think twice before staying there again.

Stay would have been perfect had it not been for some couple arguing loudly a couple of rooms down from us. Woke me up one morning and it continued for some time before a hotel employee finally came knocking on their door. Secondly, a couple of guys were trying to enter our room with their key. When I opened the door they said they were supposed to be in our room and showed me their key number, which matched ours. I'm guessing the number written on the key sleeve had to have been wrong.

Clean, comfortable, older hotel. Some wear and tear on the property but what do you expect from an older property? It was decently priced, the room was comfortable, and everything was meticulously clean. I would definitely stay there again when coming to Lubbock.
