Good room, new everything, I was probably the first person to stay in my room since their renovation ( they currently hold 100 dollars for room security)

The photos for the rooms were misleading (much smaller, especially the restroom). The room also had a very strong stench of cigarettes as well, which was off-putting for a multi-day stay with non-smokers.
Comfortable beds, nice helpful staff. Clean updated rooms. Did not hear neighbors upstairs and it was full.i would suggest to add a hairdryer to the rooms.
This place really rebranded itself. It’s much cleaner. If the price doesn’t get any higher. Then this is a major bang for your buck if you’re staying here for a night. I probably wouldn’t stay long term or with a family though. Great for couples and quick overnight stays.
IF YOU ARE A WOMAN OR GROUP OF WOMEN STAY AWAY. Extremely unsafe area of Long Beach. All they did was renovate the inside of the rooms so they could up charge people that are unfamiliar with how bad this area is. Literally watched a group of men have several women workers in and out of their room all night. The room was THE WORST SMELL I HAVE EVER SMELLED IN MY LIFE. It reeked like a dead animal or dead person in a fish market. It was unbearable. I asked for a refund an hour after checking in because nothing would cover the smell, they refused and just moved me to another room next to it that smelled as well. It was super late at night so I just dealt with it, considering a refund wasn’t even possible. Just a nasty dirty unsafe place.
