Really nice hotel with nice staff and great views.

Check in and valet were great. We mentioned to the valet that we’d be right down after check in because we had dinner reservations within the hour. It took less than 5 mins to check in, went up to our room, freshened up, changed and came back down in @15 minutes. Not only did he keep it close it was literally right next to the front door. We made our dinner reservation and upon our return I thanked him with a generous tip. The room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were pleasant with the plumbing being the exception. The bathroom sink and shower had a slow drain. The shower more of an issue being that after several minutes my toes were underwater. We were only staying one night or I would’ve requested a room change. Breakfast was good. Eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage or the omelette station. Plenty of fresh fruit and assorted pastries. Oatmeal and cold cereal options. All with a great view of the DTLA skyline. We’ve stayed there multiple times before so the plumbing issue one time is not a deterrent. Planning on staying again the middle of next month.

While we have stayed at the Angeleno before w/o problem, this time we wound in a room advertised as “facing downtown.” In fact, it faced I-405 w/ no view of downtown L.A., and the traffic noise was enough to keep my wife awake most of the night.

The listing didn’t make it clear that parking wasn’t included. We were surprised to be charged $40 per day upon arrival. Considering it’s the hotel’s own parking, the price felt unreasonable.
