1. Untrained temporary staff manning the reception and dining halls 2. Staff only was offering complimentary services to Caucasian guests checking in. Colored guests were expected to request for their complimentary VIP entitlements 3. Hotel charged 2 different rates for 2 days of stay - for one day they charged the Expedia rate of stay and for other day they charged $50 additional 4. Staff either told “no English” or avoided saying even good morning whenever I tried interacting with them 5. All of above convinces me that this hotel franchise was running their hotel with temporary staff during the Thanksgiving holidays and just fleecing money. Have you ever heard of a luxury hotel staff in Los Angeles telling “no English”? It’s beyond belief
