The place was clean and the bed was comfortable but as an experienced traveler, some things to call out and deduct for:
1. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and drained slowly. Anyone cleaning that room would have to use the sink and would know that. Unacceptable for it to be left that way unaddressed.
2. The AC isn’t modern central air, it’s a floor mounted unit. It did effectively cool the room but the person on that side of the bed will be disproportionately cold. It was also very loud.
3. The refrigerator in the room was very loud. At first glance, I was impressed that they had such a large fridge in the room but bigger was not better.
4. Slow check-in process and non-working contactless check in. I downloaded the Marriot Bonvoy app and logged into my membership so I could check in online and get digital key. Neither option was available. Also, there was one person working the desk on a holiday weekend so it took 20 minutes or so to get checked in.
5. Complimentary breakfast was ok, but not great. There’s only 1 waffle machine that’s just not enough to support even a small number of guests, salt and pepper was available but only if you ask, there were no hash browns/potatoes, or bacon offered, and very limited fruit options. 1 staffer tried to maintain the buffet while the other (who could not even answer simple questions) stood and watched.
