TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE
- Immediately when we arrived, we tried to check in and the clerk was strict, we couldn’t get in for 45 minutes, until the posted check-in time. Then, when we asked if we could leave our luggage to get something to eat until check-in, she directed us to the luggage room.
When we tried to take the elevator down to the luggage room, the elevator wouldn’t work. The luggage room was down a narrow winding stair that was dangerous for two 75 year old traveler with luggage.
- The elevator did not work for four days of the eight day stay! All of the stairs were not convenient, comfortable, or safe for frequent use by septuagenarians.
- There were NO amenities. I had reserved a room with a queen size bed and they put us in room with a double. There was a small postage stamp sized facial soap and I couldn’t find a housekeeping person to provide more. There were two towels. No hand towels, no face cloths. No ice or ice machine. No refrigerator or microwave, NO CHAIR at all.
- The windows were barred in the inside and locked. This was a horrible fire hazard. Two people could not walk by the bed at the same time.
- No visitors were allowed. That was not mentioned in any of the property description.
- When we checked in, they gave us a piece of paper with our room number on it. Any time, we left the hotel – day and night – we had to give the room to the front desk and then show the room paper to get the key. We had a 40 minute wait one time.
