This hotel is located far from where all of the main interests are for a traveler. The tube is close by so we were able to walk to the tube everyday, buy a daily ticket, then head to London city center for the day. The day pass lets you get on and off the train all day plus you can use it for the bus. Since it was late when we arrived in London, we decided to take a black taxi because it was a safer convenient option. Little did we know it was going to cost 60 pounds. We spent a lot of our vacation on the tube. It is about a 45 minute subway ride to the city, then another 45 minute ride back to the stop near the hotel. Then a 6 minute walk to the hotel. After dark shady people start hanging out on the streets around the train station and near the hotel. The staff was not customer service focused. Each encounter left us feeling a bit put off. For instance they will let you stand at the counter wasting your vacation time while they finish a conversation with a coworker that could have waited. Some rooms come with breakfast others don't. They do not have a system in place to monitor who has paid who has not. Because I'm honest, I went up the to counter to ask and pay. Even though they would have never known. The shower in the room has a shallow pan and no door so when you shower the water flows out onto the floor, under the door and out into the room. The bathroom door has a glass insert so no privacy using the toilet. Bring your own wash cloth.
