This trip was good, but there was definite room for improvement. The rooms are not a hotel room but student accommodation. For those unfamiliar with this it’s like a micro apartment the size of the standard front room with bed, kitchenette and shower room. For a trip of a day or two for business it’s all you need on a budget.
The staff are friendly and amenities good, especially the 18th floor lounge and outdoor terrace.
The cleaning schedule was weird, of my 5 night stay the schedule was a towel refresh and bin empty during the 4th day. Kind of pointless, would have been better to schedule this in the middle of the stay rather than near the end. As it was I checked out a night early.
Finally, air con. There is none. Your air conditioning options are to open a window a tiny bit and a fan provided by the accommodation. During the summer this isn’t adequate and as the hotel is very well insulated (I suppose to save on heating in the winter) it really means you can have a terrible nights sleep especially during extended periods of hot weather like I experienced during my stay.
In review, a good place to crash on a budget especially if you want to sort your own food out during your stay. Better than a hostel private room. 18th floor lounge is a great free included amenity.
If they sorted out the air con situation I’d be back in summer , till then I would only return in cooler months.
