Next time I’m in town, I am not looking for another hotel. This was my sixth time in London and I can’t believe I didn’t know about this beautiful, serene street with a premium location; five minute walk from Paddington station, easy transport to Heathrow (no more airport hotels for me!) The hotel may be old, but it is clean. Elevator, bathroom, TV, hair dryer, and all are modern. It will not change my decision to go back to this place, but here are some heads ups from my experience so you are prepared: 1. There is not much room to move around; if you’re traveling with big suitcases, you will need to optimize space. 2. Bring your own soap bar; the one that comes with the room does not clean the hands at all. 3. This is probably typical for UK but the AC was turned off in September (very American point of view, but I needed it. Still, you can crack the window open 2 inches and it’ll cool the room) Staff was amazing, overall a great stay!

This was a nice place to stay solo. The only complaint that I would have would be that the room does not need a door for the shower or the toilet rooms since the room was just for one person. The extra doors just make it inconvenient and make the already tight quarters feel even smaller.

Cons: Small basement room with inadequate ventilation. Room was stuffy, and without air-conditioning. Only small bottles of bodywash were provided. No bottles drinking water. No safe. Even usage of iron is restricted. Pros: Availability of lift. Near to Paddington and Lancaster Gate station. Plentiful buses. Free simple breakfast. Clean. Quiet. Proximity to restaurants and pubs. Accesibility to popular tourist sites.
