I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Moxy in London/Stratford!! We were given excellent service and care by all of the staff, who go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable. Excellent breakfast served daily. This review would have been all Excellent, except for the lack of a place to store your clothes; no closet or drawers. Was difficult to navigate a week’s worth of clothes living out of our suitcases. Otherwise, we will definitely stay here again!
Did not like that the iron was in a designated area for use outside of the room. Did not like that the room did not have a telephone to contact the front desk.
Excellent and convenient place to stay. If I have have anything negative, it’s minor, unfortunately they don’t have face cloths. Just pack one, will stay for sure again if I’m in the area!
Great staff let down by a lackluster property. We wanted to just drop off our bags at 9 AM but the staff was nice enough to just let us check into the room very early at no extra charge. This was great as we had two little kids who were then able to nap. But the bathroom was not great (felt really dated) and the shower drain was clogged. They fixed the drain right when I reported it to the front desk, which was nice. But the. On the second day we noticed the air conditioning was wasn’t working. The room was much hotter than even the hallways despite being set to 19 C. By the middle of the night it climbed to 25 C even though it was much cooler than that outside. I tried the front desk but they said there wasn’t an engineer on staff and our only option was to switch rooms at 1 AM, which wasn’t practical so we just toughed it out. Staff gave us a fan to keep the air moving but even opening the small window it stayed hot in the room till morning. Having the window open also meant we hear the trains. When I mentioned this on checking out they said they’d have someone check it out as this was the second time someone had complained. So overall the staff tried hard to make it a good stay but the room was dated, dark, and overheated so it wasn’t a good time and I wouldn’t stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay - We had a bar meal - but one of the meals wasn’t very good at all - but it was resolved by the restaurant quite easily with a refund - they made no fuss at all
