Accidentally booked this online. Tried multiple avenues for getting refunded. They couldn’t be reached. Haven’t picked up their listed phone in 3 days of trying to contact them and did not respond to any email inquiries. Never checked in or even visited, but without a doubt the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered.
We stayed Sunday to Tuesday. We arrived about 23.00. Staff were there to greet us and were in bed in no time.
Room was spotless. Breakfast was plentiful. Something for everyone.
Outside in parts was dated and needing renovated. Didn't affect our stay .
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Cheery and friendly especially with my wee ones.
Although the rooms were a little tired, we found our stay comfortable and extremely convenient for the park.
Breakfast was good but found the restaurant very cold (Temple) so we didn’t stay very long.
The staff were helpful, especially Daniel, who was friendly and answered our questions.
We would stay here again should we visit the park again.
Great room although a little tired (which is the general vibe from the accommodation levels of the hotel). The reception & dining areas are well kept & welcoming.
The food at the hotel was really good - we ate in the Zafari Bar & Grill as a family of 4 for £70 which included sides, drinks & extravagant milkshakes so not bad value at all considering it's a captive audience.
Receptionist was far from welcoming & it boggles me that resorts of this size wouldn't have their friendliest staff members as the front of house.
Overall, a great stay, let down in certain areas, but not enough to put me off returning.
Wrong but reasonable room. Poor functioning dining area and check in.
Chessington and Merlin management don’t seem to take pride in their assets; it’s clear that they are amateurs in the hotel trade.

No hot water in our room! This is the second time we have stayed at Chessington and both times there has been an issue with hot water. With two young children this caused inconvenience with the bed time routine, we were advised it would be sorted by 9pm that evening, it wasn’t! Still no hot water the following morning which delayed us getting ready which caused us to be late for breakfast and missing half of our early entrance privilege. We were given ‘magic money’ as a gesture whilst our compliant was being investigated, we had to walk around the park to find places that actually accepted the vouchers which again waisted our time and the vouchers didn’t cover the total bill as the restaurant is overpriced.
Overall an overpriced, inconvenient experience. £282 for one night with no hot water!
We had a great time my children are aged 6 & 7yrs so would definetly recommend. The early access to park was great bonus we managed to get on 5 rides.
Also was lovely to have access to safari animals 6.30pm-7.30pm when park had closed which you access through hotel.
Will definetly return
This room offered one of the best views of animal, was going to go in a jumanji room glad i didnt tou wouldnt have been able to see anything and this room is a fraction of the price.
So if you want a room with a view these roomas are the best.
Breakfast has to be book and so does swimming, but staff dont tell you, so please ask as they wont freely tell you, something i thing they need to work on is customer service, but hotel and room was great.
