"Well laid out for disabled access, no problem parking/unloading. Times require changing in the in the information books, states breakfast served till 10 am when they actually close at 9:30 am. But apart from this a enjoyable stay."

"We stumled across this hotel by accident but what a find. Set in a very picturesque location the hotel is quite charming. There are many positives which include the rooms, the food dinner and breakfast, the staff (who were just superb) and the owner who was only to happy to chat about the hotel and its history. This is a great place to go and unwind and all four of us who visited just loved it."

"Helpful friendly staff throughout from the owners to cleaners,chef to waiters. Everyone very welcoming. Rooms can be a bit quirky and floors abit uneven but the building is 400 years old.Faclities in the rooms were modern and what you'd expect. Continental breakfast is included but with a good range of options but no cooked breakfast. Having said that the evening menu looks typical pub rather than restaurant fare but the use of quality ingredients in the hands of a cook who really knows and cares about tood makes it well worth eating in. Perfectly cooked rare steak, super chunky perfect chips and homemade peppercorn sauce, you can taste the difference. The joy is the food is at pub prices not restaurant prices. We'll be back!"
