Exquisite charming building dating back hundreds of years just renovated.
In one of the best locations in the historic center - Alfama, Lisbon's most picturesque and authentic neighborhood.
With an interior patio and a terrace to enjoy outside. Going up some stairs it has a private miradouro (balcony) with the most superb view over the Tagus River and Alfama’s iconic rooftops.
It can host up to 7 people.
This magnificent property comprises 2 separated apartments in the same building rented all together. It is divided into 4 floors with a modern open interior staircase:
- Ground floor: apartment with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and shower and a patio (with a separated entrance).
- First floor: large suite and bathroom and shower.
- Second floor: large bedroom and bathroom and shower.
- Third floor: living room with a sofa bed, armchairs and a fully equipped kitchen. Going up some steps it has a private miradouro (balcony) with the most superb River and city view.
A defining characteristic of this building is the luminosity within. Thanks to the large windows and iron balconies, light shines into the interior from every angle at any time of the day.
Bedding and towels are provided, as well as shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, and body lotion. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning, a dishwasher, washer and dryer, coffee machine, toaster, and hair dryer.
A stay here feels like traveling back in time. At Portuguese Soul Alfama, you will be immersed in an awe-inspiring environment with golden paintings and walls, intricately decorated ceilings, vintage furniture, traditional Portuguese tiles, and a multitude of striking crystal chandeliers.
Portuguese Soul Alfama is the perfect place to nourish both your mind and soul.
The property consists of four apartments (I, II, III, and IV) available for individual rental (with capacities of 10, 5, 2, and 2 people, respectively) or as a whole (accommodating up to 19 people). If your desired dates are unavailable, please check the availability of our other apartments. It is possible to combine two or more apartments to accommodate a larger group.
Since the apartment is located in a historic area, cars are not permitted on the narrow street.
However, the nearest point for a taxi or Uber drop-off (in front of the Fado Museum) is just a 3-minute walk away.
For parking, you can park near the Fado Museum (free at night), which is only a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Alternatively, there is parking available at Campo das Cebolas, about a 10-minute walk away. In our opinion, a car won’t be necessary, as many attractions are within walking distance.
This apartment is not suitable for people with mobility restrictions or young children.
We offer self check-in, with entry codes sent to guests prior to arrival. Early check-in and late check-out are available upon request, subject to availability, at no extra cost.
The apartment is equipped with a home alarm system and a safe box for your convenience.
st emblematic quarter and one of the most rewarding for walkers and photographers, and where you find the most authentic Fado houses. It was settled by the Romans and Visigoths, but it was the Moors who gave the district its atmosphere and name (Alhama means springs of the bath). Because its foundation is dense bedrock, it survived the 1755 earthquake, and a walk through this old-fashioned residential neighborhood is now a step back in time.
It is a village within a city still made up of narrow streets, tiny squares, churches, and whitewashed houses with tile panels and balconies adorned with pots of flowers and drying laundry.
The district is of unbelievable beauty, and it must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
