The hotel was adequate & however it’s a very loud area to get a nights sleep. The outside distractions go on till 6am. This is extremely loud & lack of sleep doesn’t make for a happy holiday !

We were at the end of our 3 week trip in Portugal. We were tired and ready to go home and needed an oasis for a couple of days. LX Boutique provided that. Easy to get in and out of town from the airport and a fun area to be at any time of the day. The transportation hub is right across the street and the Time Out Market just around the corner. We had a view of the river and caught some of the sunset. Not quiet but with the windows closed we had a nice nights sleep.

Lovely place, located in a perfect part of Lisbon that was near all the key place in the city. The hotel staff was knowledgable, efficient and helpful. The cleaning staff was meticulous in their efforts. Despite being near a busy street and location the sound proofing helped making it a calm and peaceful experience.

Location excellent, central within easy walk of cafes etc. Facility accessed by 10 steep stairs off a very narrow and sloping footpath. Sited near base of one of the endless hills in Lisbon. Our room was very spacious with good natural light. Lighting around lift area is however very poor and could be dangerous. No breakfadt offered but many cafes within a few minutes walk of hotel.

The hotel was great. Room was well designed and efficient. The bed and pillows were perfect. Breakfast was not huge but excellent quality and we enjoyed the space. The area turns into a great sushi restaurant worth a visit. No coffee in room, but the lobby had a machine. The welcome Port and Nata was a nice touch. The only down sides were the light leaking under the door, and the drilling bass from the clubs. When the windows were closed the sound is fine and closed shutters make the room almost completely blacked out. That bass though travels up through the hotel into your bed, and the clubs go until 6:00 am. Here’s the BUT, it is Pink Street and if you want to feel the energy of Lisbon (or at least the tourist energy) it’s a great spot. Convenient to walk up to Chiado, Time Out Market and Cais do Sodré station is right there. Walking to the Baixa is close and flat from here. If you need 8 hours sleep though not sure this is for you.

Despite being well located and tastefully decorated my one night was disappointing. Why put a room in the attic where the roof slope restricts space, causes a hazard to anyone over 5ft tall and delivers an awkward layout that may look 'cool' but is a pain to live in! Add a glass fronted shower/loo as a central feature and you get too much 'form' not enough thought about 'function'. I won't return to the 5th floor!

Overall, LX Boutique Hotel is a great place to stay. It's in a touristy part of town and the hotel is close to quite a bit of attractions and Time Out Market. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and the staff were friendly and courteous throughout. I found it relatively safe to walk around at night. Just be mindful and attentive to your surroundings. My one complaint is about the noise level. This is NOT a hotel suited for travelers that are sensitive to noise. I was on a lower floor and I don't know if that made a difference. But the bars on Pink Street played music until 6AM every day, even on the weekdays. The earplugs the hotel provided were not enough to block out the noise and unfortunately, my sleep suffered quite a bit while I was there. If not for the noise, I would absolutely stay there again when I return to Lisbon.

Location and staff were great. When we arrived there was port and pastry in the lobby. Staff was great too n terms of recommendations. Hotel was charming. Only issue was the noise from the bar outside at nighttime. They did provide earplugs for the room however.
