Breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful, especially Ricardo. Bedroom was very spacious and comfortable! I had a Castle view on the 5th Floor, totally worth it! Hotel is at great location to walk around town.

The staff here were fantastic. Friendly and very helpful. Hotel is in a great location with easy access to public transportation. Our room was huge with a great view. Rooms could use a bit of a renovation, but overall loved it.

Hotel Metropole is situated right next to Rossio Square convenient to events, shopping, attractions, tours, transportation and dining. It's just a little antiquated since they must've preserved the building structure. The service, crew and breakfast is excellent but the only thing that bothered us during our two-night stay was the AC that hasn't made the room a bit colder and that we have to open the window to cool down. Thank you. We want to come back!

Excellent location walking distances to many sites. The hotel is old and can use remodeling. Please be aware the room was extremely hot. I will not stay there again. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, but the breakfast was the same every day. I did not have breakfast my last 2 days. Good place for one day stay only.

The Metropole is in an excellent location, on Rossio Square. Our room was large, a king sized bed, with balconies over the square…It was not loud. My only two not perfect marks are the stairs up to the lift landing to get to the lobby….tough depending on your luggage. Also the breakfast was unexciting even if the coffee was good.

We like this hotel because we have easy access to restaurants and a lot businesses in the area . Staff was great, helpful and friendly. If we be Ale to comeback to Lisbon, we want this hotel. Our room did not have AC. I called down straight away and was told that it would be turned on. A couple of hours later I called back down as it was still quite warm. I was told it would be addressed. 2 minutes later, I got a call back that the AC was not working for our room and that we could change rooms. We were already in bed and set up so that was not a reasonable option. The next morning I was told that there was no AC on the 5th floor as they are transitioning the system from heat and that the person I spoke with should have known that. I asked why we were put on that floor if the AC wasn’t working. The person at the desk had no answer. The supervisor was not in. I honestly believe that when you book through a third party, you are not treated with the same respect or given the same level of service. Twice now I’ve not been happy with rooms booked through Expedia. I was shocked as generally Holiday Inn is quite good. I asked for my money back and was told I would have to email the supervisor once back in Canada.
