Very Good

There was a bright green light above the bed, assuming this was indicating the fire escape. We found it very difficult to sleep as the light was so bright and permanently on. The room waa quite spacious but lacked amenities such as, a hair dryer, glasses for water etc. We won't be returning.
We was in room 6 it was a nice big room and was clean the only negative was the room was above the pub entrance so we heard all the people coming & going and in the celling of the room was a bright green emergency exit light that lit up the room all night & the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t that great but other than that for a one night pre holiday night stop it was fine

Old pub which has been refurbished to a good standard very pleasant and helpful staff. Would benefit from double glazing as being on the Gatwick flight path can be quite noisy ! Also if you are staying in room 6 on a Thursday evening it is quiz night and very noisy until it chuck out at 11 the Friday night was the total opposite ! Overall a good place to stay
Very clean and comfortable throughout, friendly staff, food excellent, we had Buddha salad bowl, I added chicken and halloumi, my husband added steak and goat cheese, both were delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. We only had one night on our way to Gatwick, but would recommend it just for the food if you’re in the area 👌
lovely weekend at the Star. it’s a pub and a busy one at that with rooms. That said the accommodation is clean and comfortable and offers good value for money. it is well patronised for meals by the locals. staff were pleasant and helpful. Good base for weekends
Food was very nice, service faultless in the resturant. Room was very good for the price, I found the bed to hard but my wife found it ok. Perfect place to stay for the price around the gatwick area.
