About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Mountain Cabin Getaway | Hot Tub | Wineries & Hiking Nearby

Welcome to your cabin getaway that promises to be your home away from home. With a well-stocked kitchen, cozy living room, and a private outdoor oasis, you'll have plenty to do without ever stepping foot off the property. And if exploration and adventure do call, you'll find dozens of nearby wineries, Skyline Caverns, hiking and water activities nearby.

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed into a small entryway with the main living space to the right. The living room centers around a seasonal fireplace and 65" 4K TV. Nearby you'll find the fully-stocked kitchen with brand new (2022) stainless steel appliances, KitchenAid Mixer, Vitamix Blender, stocked Keurig Coffee Machine, toaster, and more. The dining area features plenty of space for six alongside our wine and coffee bar designed to help you energize your morning or relax in the evening.

You'll find three bedrooms welcoming you on the other side of the cabin. The Master bedroom features a king bed, additional TV, an electronically adjustable standing desk, a closet full of board games, and an attached full bathroom. The second bedroom features a queen bed and the third features a full bed and also includes a washer and dryer accessible to guests.

Outside, you'll find a private oasis for your group featuring a six-person hottub, outdoor dining table, lounge chairs, and a grill. Around the side of the cabin, you'll find a small fire pit, hanging swing, and a backyard for your group to enjoy. Bird watchers will love spotting more than 55 bird species that make their home in the Blue Mountains.

Our cabin retreat is accessed via mountain roads that are paved and unpaved. We have a fantastic road maintenance team, but we like to let prospective guests know, especially those traveling during the winter months (we recommend 4WD or AWD). A few times per year, 4WD will be required to access certain roads.

As with many of the mountains older cabins, the fireplace historically served as the home’s main heating source. While it no longer does (instead we have a heat pump system and smart space heaters available as needed), the cabin is best enjoyed with the large stone fireplace lit on cold winter nights. We will provide plenty of firewood and hope you enjoy true “mountain living.”

We welcome up to one dog at this property - please add a pet to your reservation to cover the $79 fee. Additional pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please send an inquiry to discuss.

We keep guest wellness and safety top of mind as the space is cleaned and sanitized between each stay. All bedding, including sheets, quilts, and blankets are washed between every reservation and all bedrooms have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and multiple fire extinguishers are available. Our cabin also has a Minut sound monitoring device centrally located in the hallway - the device monitors decibel levels but does not collect or record audio. It's settings are triggered to let us know when noise at the level of a party is present.

Ring doorbells are located at both the front and back entrances to the property and do not have a view of the hot tub. Both are motion activated and have the capability to record audio and video, but records are not regularly reviewed and are automatically deleted after 21 days. An additional Ring spotlight records video of the driveway.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as a spa tub or take in the view from a garden.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Charming getaway
This was a cute getaway for our family. It was clean, had extras like coffee, cereal etc.. it had seasonal decorations, a nice porch and a deer that bedded don for the evening in the back yard. The bedrooms were separate from the kitchen and living area which was nice. You can tell by hr owner tried to make it special. And it was. Thank you.

Nice house on Blue Mountain
This is a nice house just north of Linden, VA. The host was responsive to my emails. We had no problems with getting in or with the house in general. The house is heated and cooled with mini-splits. There were auxiliary space heaters in each of the room except the bathrooms. There was plenty of fire wood. The kitchen appliances were quite new and worked well. The fireplace was a bit smoky at times. We enjoyed our Christmas week at this house.

Mountain Cabin
We had a great stay. The house is well stocked with all you need but if you do everything is within a short drive. The drive to the cabin is steep and curvy but the roads are well maintained. We had a 4WD but was not needed. We did a day trip each day we were there so the location is central to many places which is why we chose it. Thank you for a great stay.

Charming and Comfortable Cabin
The cabin is a fun mix of rustic charm and modern convenience, making a lovely spot for a holiday runaway. The bedrooms are fairly spare, but the beds are super comfortable (king in MBR was awesome). Decor feels casually-high end, and there is evidence of recent upgrades everywhere. The kitchen is really well stocked, with new appliances (Keurig, regular mini-pot, gas grill, even a Kitchen Aid mixer) and a great variety of utensils, dishes, pots/pans, etc. We also appreciated the large selection of spices on hand. The fireplace was a cornerstone of our stay, as it was bitter and icy while we were there. It is not converted to gas, but there was a ton of firewood and starter logs provided. The hosts clearly care about their guests' experience, as evidenced by little touches like fairy lights throughout the yard, color-changing electric candles in different rooms, and linens were provided at no extra cost. The home is on a BEAUTIFUL lot with only a few neighbors (not super close). We did find it very difficult to maneuver the hill on which the house is located, so make sure to have only 4WD or AWD vehicles if ice/snow is expected. The owners were INCREDIBLY responsive and helpful with all of our questions. Again, that they care very much about their guests is obvious. Finally, the Apple House and Melting Pot Pizza were the only places we went for any other food besides home-cooked, and both were great. You won't be dissatisfied with this cabin if you're looking for a mountain getaway!
