Outdated building, parts of which were under renovation. The area is noisy, although not far from the historic district. The breakfast was always lacking some items - one day was the soup, another day was the bread, etc. The staff was nice, but each morning we were asked to complete some paper work. Other tourists were suggesting it was for tips, but I was told it was just a check to see we were really paying for the food. Weird.

Beautiful place, not so nice customer service.
This hotel is very nice. But, if you are planning time in Lima, I would suggest staying in the Miraflores area. It is a much safer area and there is more to do and see in that area. Now about the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful but the service is quite the opposite. I was so disappointed with the front desk. The morning we were checking out they tried to charge us twice for a car service from the airport. I don't normally cause a fuss in international places but she was so rude about it. She was also the one who checked us in and asked if we paid for the car already. Also get a receipt for everything.

Overall an outstanding hotel. I did not have high expectations when I booked this hotel but It exceeded my expectations. I had stayed at different hotels while traveling to Peru with my family in years past but I was extremely satisfied with my stay at the Sheraton Hotel. This will definitely be the hotel I'll stay at when I visit Peru next time.
