Older premises, but seemed to be well maintained Close to the highway but no traffic noise problems, and convenient to downtown. Our room's mattress was very comfortable.

Great motel plus nice management. It is a great stay one night for going to Glacier national park in US. Only one concern is that the manager asked us to pay the rent ,which we paid to expedia.ca already. He suggested that we can be refunded if the fee is confirmed by the expedia.ca. We have been with expedia.ca more 10 years and it never happened to us before.

Watching the sun rise over the Canadian Rockies
My wife and I wanted to watch the sun rise over the Canadian Rocky Mountains. When the conditions are right, the prairies get very little sun light because the sun is really low over the horizon while the mountains light up. The best time of year to see that is in the spring, when the mountains are full of snow. We stayed in Fort McLeod and got up early to see it. We drove towards the mountains, then went back to bed when we were done. The Sunset Motel was great for this kind of trip. The breakfast table is open 24/7, so we had some food before driving at sun rise and a bit more when leaving the motel at checkout time. The room is well insulated, both in terms of noise and temperature. It is clean and spacious when you compare it to motels in a similar price range anywhere in Canada or the USA. I recommend this motel highly.

Bed was comfortable and clean. That was very much appreciated!!! But the minor in the main room was not very clean … the flooring and fixtures in the bathroom gave the impression it was not clean but it could have been clean it was hard to tell. The price was good but for the condition of the room & bathroom… price could have been better!!! The breakfast was only yogurt and muffins in a small fridge …. Could see where the coffee was , so we just passed on that . Don’t expect much in the way of breakfast !!! The fellow that checked us in was very nice 👍👍 so bottom line , if all you’re interested in is a nice comfortable clean bed … this is your place 😊
