Firstly, the location - set in stunning scenery, a short walk from a fabulous boulangerie, small supermarket, restaurants and a small market (Tip - order a rotisserie chicken from the stall on market days when you are buying your breakfast from the boulangerie - you will not be disappointed!), the villa is also a stone's throw from the A8 opening up the whole area for you to explore. With the host there to help you if you need any advice on places to go and things to do.
The villa is the second storey of the property. It is clean, bright and well appointed. We spent 10 nights and the beds were so comfortable, we all slept really well every night! My 2 teenage daughter's (15yrs and 16yrs) shared the sofa bed and it was more than big enough to accommodate them so they were not on top of each other in the heat of August nights! Our bed was spacious too. The villa has all you need to cook, make coffee to go with those fresh croissants from the village everyday and anything else you may need! And the pool.....just fantastic! It was a real luxury to have our own pool, to use whenever we wanted. We took full advantage choosing to spend a few days just as pool days, the perfect antidote to a busy home life! The views are stunning and it is peaceful and calming. Sitting on the terrace, eating or just relaxing was a great treat. With great views you could soak up the peaceful atmosphere into the evening.
The host was just fabulous! From booking the property to checking out she could not have done more to help make our stay more comfortable and our holiday more wonderful. She was always on hand if you needed anything without being intrusive and was just really kind, always going the extra mile.
In short I cannot recommend this idyllic little place highly enough. If you are after a holiday or a base to explore the South of France it is perfect - with the bonus of your own pool, a fantastic host and views to die for. We cannot wait to go back one day. My only regret.....we had to go home!
