Liked: Cleanliness
Quiet and clean enough.. but seems like they're going through some transitions or we caught them off season... felt a little shabby/bare, like the rooms needed a refresher -- doesn't look or feel like the photos on the website. And there was never any staff around. It was fine for a work trip where I was hardly ever there, but I wouldn't stay there for pleasure.
Comfortable, traditional inn with excellent service and restaurant. Facilities were clean and up to date.
Walking distance to everything in town. Highly recommended.
New owners and not ready to open. No service for breakfast( as advertised..gave us a card for a local deli which was overwhelmed ,no room clean up ( dirty linens on floor from last guest,)or towels…told us to go in to the linen room and help, ourselves. Our registration wasn’t in their computer…fortunately we had a copy.I understand that it’s hard to find help but we were completely on our own and had paid over $300. Per night.

Disliked: Staff & service
They were closed. It was prepaid and when I arrived there was no one on duty. The phone message said it might take 24 - 48 hours before my call would be returned.
The inn is a wonderful and charming grand home in Lenox. The interior has warm furnishings and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Dinner was outstanding and the wine list had many examples of fine wines from Israel. Breakfast the next morning featured a sumptuous challah french toast souffle.
Lovely mansion turned inn with restaurant and bar, although they were not yet in service for the season. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. A great location!
We were disappointed in the outside appearance of the property. It badly needed painting, and the entry porch was unkempt and unwelcoming.
The room itself was also very tired....we appreciate that an historic Inn should retain period features, but decoration should be of a superior quality and kept fresh. The curtains were appalling...just an unlined piece of simple cotton .
However the public areas were quite elegant, and breakfast was very good.
In short, we would not return having been in far better Inns in Lenox
I was pleased with the cleanliness and accommodations. There was a small refrigerator and coffee maker, as well as a bathrobe and slippers for two. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices such as cheese, loaf bread, homemade granola, fruit and yogurt and a hot meal of your choice.
It was the best of what staying at the Inn has to offer. Great owners/hosts who were engaging and interesting. And Michelle's breakfasts were amazing - a great chef indeed and really interesting food.
