Historic Hotel in the city

The hotel is lovely and staff are warm and welcoming. There is a pool on the roof which is great for a dip in the heat and a larger pool downstairs which was also great and never too crowded. We used the spa frequently and were delighted to find its use was free as we had booked a suite. We invested in a suite for this holiday as we were celebrating a special anniversary. Although the suite was spacious and comfortable, the way it was laid out with large wooden shutters separating the bedroom and sitting room that couldn't be moved made the bedroom dark with no window of its own.

Beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff — especially Eduardo, who greeted us with a smile from the moment we checked in late at night until our last evening. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that any issues or personal requests were handled with genuine care and attention. There were a few small details that could be refined to make the experience feel truly five-star. For example, the bath salts weren’t replenished after the first night, and clearer communication about the rooftop pool being reserved for suite guests would have been appreciated. A few of the other reception staff could also take inspiration from Eduardo’s open, transparent, and welcoming approach, which made us feel completely at ease. Overall, it was a wonderful stay in an exceptionally beautiful hotel, and we left with many happy memories.

Hotel in total is good and we enjoyed our stay. Although its five star hotel, to me it looks good 4 stars hotel not 5 stars. Swimming pool is a bit small but super clean. The SPA is very nice and calm atmosphere. I would suggest to book junior room as normal room doesn't have access to SPA or roof top swimming pool. However you can buy SPA pass but not rooftop swimming pool while staying in normal room. Parking is €20 per a day which is a-bit expensive. Also rooftop bar is open to all guest after 5:30. Two staff were running whole roof top bar which was not enough at all. As the roof top bar is open to public they treated local people nicer than us. Mini bar is not free and they forgot to put any sign about the price which was naughty. However when I complained about it they said it was our fault but at the end I paid for what I had. It would be nicer to put sign that costumer knows the price.

Beautiful hotel with a mix of historic charm and modern luxury. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was excellent, and the rooftop bar had stunning views. A little outside the old town but taxis are affordable and easy. Perfect for a relaxing, stylish stay.

Absolutely fantastic week at the Santa Catalina - Royal Hideaway Hotel!! Half board, so we got to enjoy the delicious daily breakfast at the Hotel followed by dinner at the 1890 La Bodeguita - fabulous food & service at both! The hotel is just so beautiful and staff cannot do enough for you through your entire stay! We had 3 spa sessions to enjoy even more relaxation during the stay! Cannot recommend this hotel enough - will definitely be returning!!
