Narrow steps with short railing
The unit was very clean. The beds are queen size instead of doubles. A very pleasant surprise! We appreciated all the extra fans to help cool down.
BUT
It’s a converted barn loft with many narrow steps to climb; facts that are not disclosed in the listing. Imagine my dismay when we opened the door and faced the prospect of getting my disabled father up and down all the stairs safely. Arriving late in the day, there was no alternative. Adding to our difficulties, the hand rail starts two steps up and ends two steps short of the top, a real safety concern for my elderly parents or anyone needing 3 points of contact.
The listing states there’s a washer/dryer. There isn’t.
There is no WiFi apparently. I asked for it twice and received no answer.
The smart tv is confusing. The owner offered to send his son over to help, but we had given up and just gone to bed.
Speaking of beds, if you like them rock-hard, this will be perfect for you.
The resident below smokes and it wafts straight up and into the unit through the window. Bad for my husband’s allergy and asthma.
When departing, there’s no eye for the gate to open automatically. One must wiggle through the post opening to punch in the code. Not a big deal, but it would’ve been nice to know.
A house book to explain how to use the TV, WiFi (if available), and how to get out of the gate would be nice. Of course, updating the listing to disclose that it’s a converted barn loft with many steps is imperative.
