The Motel is clean and very comfortable . by todays standards a little dated , still has actual keys ! But always enjoy our stay here . well worth the time and money ! Enjoy

Older park in front of your door motel which is very well cared for. Everyone working there is super friendly and the property is well cared for and kept very clean. All this and a reasonable price make it our go to property when in Lancaster.

The Weathervane Motel had good ratings, was in a good area, and looked really cute online, which is why we chose it over several other hotels in the area. We were in town for 1 night to run the local half marathon. The front office has a very strong smell of curry, which if I were at a restaurant, I might find pleasant, however in a hotel lobby was quite off-putting. The person working at the front desk was very friendly and nice. We got there fairly late and really just planned on getting a good nights sleep and had asked for a late check out in order for us to come back and take showers after the race. Again, person at front desk was accommodating. Upon entering the room we were hit with a musty, mildew type of odor. We adjusted the A/C to try to help that, but it persisted. When we used the bathroom we were hit with a rather putrid smell of urine; kind of like a men’s urinal might smell. This sealed our decision to go ahead and check out early versus coming back to shower after the race. Now, mind you my husband and I are not that picky about where we stay, and don’t require 4-star accommodations by any means, but I should mention this 1 night stay in what should be a $60/night motel cost us $179. We had a fabulous time at the Bird in Hand Half Marathon and the Lancaster area and will definitely be back next year, but will choose a different hotel. :(

The hotel is just a simple no frills place. Easy parking and quiet. It would have been nice to have more than 2 towels and a coffee pot in the room. Also could use an iron and ironing board. They have a free breakfast however the coffee was very weak so we had to go get some elsewhere. Overall it was a nice stay though.

Upon arrival staff was nice however after checking in on the way to the room there was a random lady walking around the parking lot dancing and knocking on doors. Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable the floor was possibly more comfortable. The bath tub was very dirty the rest of the room appeared clean but the tub was very dirty! Will not be staying again!
