Did someone say “private island” only an hour outside of Seattle!? Disconnect, unwind and replenish with family and friends sitting waterfront on the magical Puget Sound. A short ferry ride will take you to a small island, just 3 miles around, that sits in the pristine Case Inlet. Kayak and paddleboard with the seals, have lunch with the deer, drink coffee and cocktails from your large deck while the children stay occupied for hours down on the beach. If your lucky, you may see porpoises, orcas, whales, bald eagles diving for fish and more.
Bring your paddle boards and kayaks - you can circle the island in about 90 minutes. Play outdoor games in the yard or on the beach or take a short walk down to the island playground where there are Pickleball courts (and rackets), basketball court, soccer net, baseball diamond and an old school slide, swings and merry-go-round.
This is truly a place to disconnect, which means there are no grocery stores, gas stations, or restaurants on the island. Be sure to get any groceries you need for your stay before you get on the ferry in Lakebay. The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies but no food is available.
The house is newly remodeled (updated pics coming soon!) with a modern, beach house aesthetic. Upstairs is the kitchen and living room, with French doors, large windows and an oversized deck looking down over the Sound. Indoor and outdoor dining options. Gas fireplace with chairs and propane BBQ on the deck.
Downstairs hosts the second bedroom, a full bath, a bunk room (with two bunk beds) and a common area with two couches to lounge on if you need a break from the excitement happening upstairs!
Large hot tub overlooking the water where you can warm up after an evening swim!
You will have access to the entire home and expansive decks, as well as a private beach.
The entire island does not have broadband internet service and cellular reception can be limited. However, owners use Verizon hotspot on their cell phones and work out on the island for 6 weeks each year with no issues.
The ferry is $20, which includes the car and driver. Additional passengers are $3 per person. Only cash and checks are accepted. We will send you the ferry schedule and pass upon booking and our on-island host will connect with you to ensure a hassle free arrival.
