We were warmly welcomed, and check-in was super speedy. This was particularly nice, because of the several hours drive to get here. There was a small baggage cart, readily available for our use.
Upon entering our room, it was opulent and spacious with exquisite views. (The Horicon Suite). We had a couple of small issues the first night. Staff had forgotten to turn on the A/C in our room, and it showed 80F on the thermostat., and one of the remote controls for the TV had dead batteries. The latter problem was discovered hours later, and they sent maintenance staff to assist. During their visit, they volunteered to also get us a fan, to better circulate the air in our room, which was still cooling. Those two gentlemen were stellar and definitely deserve to be commended.
The rest of our stay was every bit as serene and pleasant as we expected. The facility is charming and beautiful, and the grounds are well manicured and picturesque.
