The Sonesta Hotel is a good deal for the money. My biggest gripe is the extra charge for nightly parking.

At first the property seemed clean. I initially got in the room and removed my sandals. I was in the room for about an hour before I realized there was tiny roaches surrounding my sandals and crawling around the kitchenette. I began inspecting the room even further and found roaches next to the bed and even in the bathroom. I soon became afraid and still am afraid that I exposed myself to these bugs and potentially bring them wherever I go. I filmed everything and made the front desk aware. The lady at the desk was kind and provided me with a different room, however I did not receive a good nights rest as I was concerned about being in another room full of bugs. I did not see anything in the new room, however I did not see anything in the first one when I got there. The replacement room also had a strange smell, but bit my tongue as I did not want to inconvenience myself and the front desk even further. The experience was definitely disappointing and would not feel safe going back there again.

Was placed next to laundry room and the electrical room, noise all night- This place is horrible, feels like an overrated motel 6, just $100 more

The front desk staff was great upon arrival. We chose the hotel because they allow dogs. What wasn't disclosed was the $75 non refundable fee. There was an additional credit card holding fee for $125 for incidentals also not disclosed. Parking is by permit and it is $7/day not disclosed. As for room service, there is no restaurant on site but they have a service called "orderedinn". When we got to the room it was musty. We had a first floor unit with a window which we promptly opened and turned on the ac.

Great hotel!
This is my favorite hotel whenever I visit my family in Lake Forest. It's clean, spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located. Starbucks is within walking distance along with a few restaurants. It's a pet friendly hotel; there are plenty of grassy areas surrounding the premises to walk a dog. I stay here at least once a month when visiting family.

Room was clean, fresh and cozy. Bed was comfortable and I slept well! Cleanest shower I I typically stay at Hilton but I’m glad I didnt this time. This will be my spot in Irvine.
