I guess they charge top dollar because there’s not many other places to stay? The place is tatty, battered paintwork, broken light fitting and £100 for a very average meal served by a bloke in a tracksuit.
The much anticipated rainfall shower was more light drizzle and intermittent at that. Running dry frequently. I’d have done better under the leaking guttering perfectly placed above the entrance door.
Went for breakfast, said hello to the waitress and was then roundly ignored for a party of four who came in after us and were served immediately. I’m guessing they are preferred regulars judging by their interactions with staff who all seemed to know them? After waiting 10 minutes we gave up.
We then had a dispute about the bill which I’d paid in advance. The clue is the evidence I presented so don’t try “oh it’s just a prepayment”.
I’m also unsure why your bill didn’t match my payment unless of course we were on the other side of the wrong room saga other guests had.
In short, this place is hugely overpriced trading solely on its location. Wouldn’t recommend.
