THE PROPERTY
This is a luxurious, quiet, airy and spacious first floor apartment, which is part of the popular Monte Dourado resort in central Carvoeiro, literally a couple of minutes walk from the iconic beach, fabulous restaurants and shops. Occupying one of the best positions at the top of the hill, the lounge, master bedroom, terrace and fabulous, furnished exclusive and private roof terrace (60 metres square) all have wonderful sea views. To give an idea how close we are you can hear the waves crashing on the shore and see the beach from the terrace.
Having undergone a total refurbishment, the flat benefits from modern bathrooms with electric heated towel rails, a new kitchen, air conditioning /heating/ solar water heating, new tiling throughout and all new furnishings.
We have also installed our own wifi system (not shared with other Monte Dourado apartments), to ensure fast, broadband speeds for our guests.
The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 adults, but, for an additional child there is a fold up bed and a cot. A high chair can be hired from Monte Dourado reception, for an additional daily charge.
The accommodation includes:
2 double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large super king sized bed (175cms) and the second bedroom has the flexibility of being arranged as either two singles or one (180cms) super king sized bed.
There is a safe in the main bedroom (key available to hire from Reception.)
2 bathrooms. Both have showers, are heated for winter guests, and there is also a bath in the main family bathroom. Hair dryers are provided in both bathrooms. NB Turn on the switch for the mirror light to activate the electric socket.
Lounge / dining room - contains two double sofas, flat screen smart tv, with a range of European / UK channels, including Sky Sports and BT sports, BBC, ITV channels and Netflix. There is a wireless sound bar to stream your own personal music.
The dining area has a dining table and four chairs, sideboard and console. For the cooler winter evenings, there is a wood burning stove and logs /kindling are available to purchase, for delivery, from Reception.
The kitchen is well equipped, with all white goods, including an electric cooker and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and large fridge, plus 3 drawer freezer.
The outside verandah has a table and four chairs, parasol, plus two rattan chairs and a coffee table.
The roof terrace offers spectacular, panoramic views and sunsets; overlooking the sea and the bay. It is furnished with four sun loungers and side tables, a large, rectangular dining table with five chairs , two parasols and a charcoal BBQ. There is electricity on the roof, with lighting and solar lighting for guests wanting to enjoy the fabulous sunsets and the stars!
Air conditioning /air-sourced heating units in both bedrooms, the lounge area and heaters plus elactric towel rails in both bathrooms.
The flat is also ideally positioned, being directly to the right of the main adult and child pool area, the main pool being heated in the winter months (end of October until May) Parking is also available directly outside the flat and there is the advantage of a dedicated Reception area, to ensure we meet all your holiday requirements, including the collection/deposit of the key. There are also two tennis courts on the site, which can be booked via reception.
MAID SERVICE is provided mid week, with a weekly clean and change of towels and bed linen.
If guests are staying LESS THAN 7 nights, there is no mid-week clean
Re guests staying 7 DAYS OR MORE, cleaning is mid week eg 3/4 days after arrival, with an additional clean/ change towels and bedding on the same day the following week. This is repeated for each subsequent week. NB Please check with Reception upon arrival for confirmation of the days when the maids will be cleaning.
WINTER BOOKINGS - November - March
Prices based on 2 guests staying. For each additional guest there is a supplementary charge of €50 per week. Electricity is charged on top of winter bookings, for longer lets (two weeks or more) although we do have solar heated hot water, which reduces our heating costs significantly. Please pay for electricity at Reception.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE INTRODUCTION OF A TOURIST TAX
We are now required to collect the following fees on behalf of Lagoa council. These fees are chargeable for any guests age 13 or over.
The fee is payable per night up to a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.
The fee is €2 per person/ per night between 1st April and- 1st October (High season) and €1 per person / per night between November 1st and March 31st. (Low season.).
We will request this additional tax on or after the deadline for the second payment. Please advise as to the number of guests aged 13 and above, so we can charge accordingly.
