Well maintained and modern hotel in an older building which added to the character. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Location was good with a short walk to both the port and areas with restaurants. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed two nights in October 2025 and were impressed with our spacious room with balcony, the very helpful and courteous staff, and the breakfast buffet. The hotel’s proximity to both the train station and the waterfront give it the perfect location to stay while visiting the Cinque Terre by train or boat. We recommend it!

Just another cheaply renovated “trendy” hotel

While the common areas look great in photos, the rooms are very poorly and cheaply renovated - vinyl flooring is peeling up at the corners, looks like it was the painters first day on the job, the bathroom is crammed despite the room being large. There’s nothing about the rooms that justify the “luxury” tag on this hotel. Breakfast was offered for 20 euros which is a lot considering a croissant and cappuccino at the coffee shop down the street costs 2.30 euros.

The Poet was excellent. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The front team were friendly and gave some great restaurant recommendations. Loved the toiletries too. Have brought the shower gel! Great location. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our visit at The Poet Hotel! The room was modern and spacious. The staff was so helpful. We had to leave early in the morning and they packed us a nice breakfast to go. The front desk women really went way out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Dinner suggestions and great directions. We will be back!

Property is very nice, clean, and convenient. However, we were disappointed with alleged VIP room upgrade. An upgraded room was available but only offered to us if we paid for upgrade. Not what we bargained for or what was promised by Expedia VIP amenity. Otherwise, hotel is very good. Outstanding breakfasy crew.
