The grounds are incredibly beautiful, but the rooms are very dark. We ran out of hot water twice in our short stay. It felt like the breakfasts were carefully portioned out as to not give too much. I did receive more on request without any trouble. I guess I am used to European buffet style where you eat as much as you want. The staff were very helpful and nice but a little stiff and more distant than what I like. All and all a wonderful place, great location, wonderful grounds, but I would not stay there if I were spending a lot of time in the room due to the darkness.

Everything was very good the only thing that I would like to mention is that the room we stayed in was very enclosed and this could be the cause for a very damp smell throughout the room. very musty the smell was very strong, there are no windows to air out the smell.

Beautiful and charming!
Our stay was Fabulous! The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful! Christian and the other staff were super friendly, kind, and helpful. The daily breakfast was exceptional and the views from our multiple balconies were relaxing and pleasant. Lots of privacy, yet located right on the malecon. We will definitely come again.
